A relaxing weekend at Roodeplaat dam
This weekend was super chilled. We spent two nights at the Roodeplaat dam (which is just around the corner). Although it was a very lazy weekend, we still took a few photographs. The photographs that we took is very rich in texture and colour.
I stumbled upon the remains of a crab that was probably devoured by a predatory bird. I'm always fascinated by the anatomy of shellfish and simply had to photograph this. It was placed on a wooden barrel (about a meter from where the crab shell was found). I treasure this photograph. The warm colours of the crab, lifts the crab out of the rich blue and grey texture of the wood, resulting in a photographs with rich colour and texture while still having a focal area. Hope you like it!
