Crab arm illustrative sketches by Karma Bosman
I am currently working on an Aluminium sculpture of a crab arm. The sculpture will be created using the lost foam casting process. Illustrator Karma Bosman made this illustrative sketches of the crab arm anatomy and segments as reference for the Final sculpture.
The far left sketch shows what the arm looks like from the top view. The sketch in the center indicates how the polystyrene prototype will have to be cut in half in order to make the polystyrene hollow. I really like the linear hatching technique that she used for these sketches.
The sculpture is a part time project. I hope to upload some of the sculpting progress photos in the near future. But for now have a GREAT weekend!
