This weekend was filled with art, nature and family. Saturday we had another walk through the nature reserve, checked out succulents in Faerie Glen, then art and Norwegian custard tart at the Tina Skukan Gallery and Tea Garden! We ended the day off with a bit of aquascaping in our next nano tank.
Sunday was windy and we were able to paint a little bit until the family showed up. Then it was over to fabric painting with the little people and flying a kite! Looking forward to more time with our bird illustrations. The painting of the Crown Crane is a lot more detail than the previous Stonechat so will take a bit longer to finish.

Karma loving her oil paint and Riaan working slowly on the Crown Crane bird. |

The winter has its own beauty, these dry flowers in the field were beautifully back-lit by the afternoon winter sun. |
