Successful goat casting, casting #4
So the bronze casting of the goat was a huge improvement to my previous attempt. I've still had a few bubbles that got caught in my mold. So more de-oxidising research needs to be done. A few improvements that I would like to make is the pouring-cup, the direction of the sprues as well the temperature of my mold when pouring (I want it to glow red before the pour). For this specific sculpture I purchased some proper bronze. I've melted a 1.2 kg solid block and took a bit longer to melt at a drastically higher temperature.
This is what the final piece look like. Now all that I need to do is mount it onto a neat piece of wood.
