Vector Illustration - Work in Progress

This week we are trying a totally different illustration style. We are illustrating using vector lines in Adobe Illustrator. This is for a logo that we are developing and for that reason it has to be vector.
The effect that we are trying to achieve is the one you see on money; very fine patterned lines placed in such a way that it creates tonal value. There are various plugins and tutorials available, but we have found that the results are never 100% satisfying. Each line in this logo will be manually placed to ensure 100% satisfaction and also our own unique finish.
