Here's my first sculpture for 2020. Catcher Patrick (Bronze and steel) I've forged the hair from steel rods using a temporary forge made from just a fan and two bricks that runs on coal. The bronze mask was casted using the investment lost wax method and the balls in the hair was casted using the lost foam method.
Mr Patrick's coral tentacle like hair reaches out to catch all the valuable and beautiful.
This piece will be on exhibition from Friday 17 January 2020 up until Tuesday 11 February at the Pretoria Art Association as part of the annual members exhibition. If you are in the area be sure to go and have a look.
